Billie Jean is in a MCAS foster home and happy to be out of the stress of living in a animal shelter. PLEASE consider becoming a MCAS Volunteer Foster Home!

Volunteer orientations are generally the 4th Wednesday of every month from 7-8pm here at the shelter (check our event calendar for dates).  You don't need to sign up, just show up! You will receive the application link at the orientation.  Hope to see you there!

Hey everybody! Are you looking for a high energy girl to be your running partner? My name is Billie Jean and I'm your lady! I am a very social girl that loves everybody I meet. I can get over exuberant when I'm excited and haven't learned how to curb my impulse control yet. I can get jumpy and mouthy when excited and my new family will need to invest in some reward based training. I also have an obsession with toys, especially tennis balls, and have been learning how to trade my ball for something else. I will need continued work on this. If you have children in the home, they will need to be 15 years old or older. I will also need to the only pet in your home, due to my potential for resource guarding. I hope this isn't too overwhelming. I am a great girl that is looking for someone to make me their project dog! I am about 2 years old and weigh 60 pounds. I am currently taking a break from the shelter in a foster home. My foster family has already found out that I am an easy keeper! I love to sleep all night on my dog bed and I am a great walking partner. I am quiet and don't feel the need to be barking at anything.
